Assalammualaikum wr wb,
We hope the blessed month of Ramadan have been great for you and your family. Ramadan is coming to an end and we welcome Shawal in the next few days. We hope that whatever good that have been practised in Ramadan will continue strong even after Ramadan.
Our team would like greet you with Eid Mubarak and may you be blessed with family and friends.
In Shawal or more known as Hari Raya Aidilifitri in Singapore and the region, we celebrate a long month of festivities with visits to the elderly and relatives. Not forgetting food that is mashallah and attaining forgiveness and blessings from family and friends.
Let us not forget our fellow Muslims like the Bangladeshis workers or Indonesian maids that have been working here and far away from family. Give them some support for helping us to build our nation too.

What's happening at Islamicevents?
Our office will be closed for Hari Raya from today - Friday, 23rd June 2017 to Wednesday, 28th June 2017. We will resume work on Thursday, 29th June 2017. All calls and inquiries through phone, email and social media sites will only be answered on Thursday, 29th June 2017.
Campaigns & Orders
If you happen to see any email broadcasts from us or from our social media postings, those are scheduled postings. We are still able to take orders online however the follow ups will only take effect when our staff are back in office.
Events, Khidmah & Infaq Promotions
For the most of Ramadan you may have realised that we have been pushing more infaq projects rather than Events. Coming this Shawal, with the opening of new classes, we will be re-aligning our campaigns towards promoting events. So do check out the programs that have been submitted to us on our website.
We will also be launching our Qurban packages in the next few weeks.
So do keep a look out for it.
RAMADAN MUTTON PROJECT
Alhamdulillah, we have raised 4167 kg of Mutton since we started this campaign. This year we have fallen short 377 kg of meat due to change request and increasing demand, however our suppliers have agreed to pay for the meat first to supply to the mosques and organisations.
You may still want to contribute to this campaign to help us offset the costs of the meat.

Infaq Raya Hamper
Let's experience the spirit of E'id together.
While we eat lontong, rendang and many festive foods during Eid, they are small groups of people who have never been able to see Eid as we are. This groups falls under the families that have their bread winner in prison due to drug issues. The ones that they hurt is not just them but the family they leave behind fending for themselves in this tough society.
In this project, we may not be able to solve every single one of the family issues but here we have identified about 500 families and we hope this Raya Hampers will uplift their spirit this Eid.
Our raya hampers will be distributed to Hira society beneficiary. Your contribution will help former drug addicts' family in providing some reliefs in preparation for this coming Hari Raya.
To date we have received 74 hamper orders.
We have received updates that the hampers have been distributed but this campaign can still receive more contributions as there will be another hamper delivery scheduled on 20th to 24th July 2017.

Ramadan Iftar Meals 2017 ( Campaign Closed )
 Alhamdulillah. We have received a contribution of 1190 packages equivalent to 1190 pkg x 4 meals = 4760 meals.
Although the intended target was not this year from Infaq.sg, Free Food For All had to make some adjustments and they too had received other forms of sponsorship from other channels.
Here's a report from them.
Iftar for Needy Muslims only
Till 23rd June 2017 - 740 pkg x 4 = 2960 meals
Iftar for everyone ( Combine Muslims and Non Muslims )
Till 23rd june 2017 - 15519 meals
Total meals produced = 18,479
The 4760 meals contributed are combined to giving Muslims and Non Muslims.
Perhaps you wonder why is FFFA feeding Non Muslims too. In many sirahs, we also often hear about Prophet Muhammad SAW feeding poor Non Muslims during his time but there is this particular sirah that always touch us.
Every evening on his journey to the mosque he will stop to feed a blind Non Muslim man who will curse the Prophet SAW unknowingly that it was the Prophet SAW feeding him with his own hands. Until one day, Sayidina Abu Bakar r.a fed that man and that blind man realised it was not the same man feeding him. When that blind man asked what happen to the first man. Abu Bakar r.a replied that that man that fed him was the Prophet Muhammad SAW and he had passed away. The blind man cried and he became
a Muslim since that day.
We don't know when Allah swt will move their hearts but all we know is that we need to continuously perform good actions as how the Prophet SAW taught to Muslims and Non Muslims. |
Project Iftar Cambodia 2017 ( Campaign Closed )
Alhamdulillah. We have received in total contributions to cover 67 iftars equivalent to 17 days for the 4 villages.
Despite not getting the full month contribution, the villagers were still grateful that Singaporeans were willing to contribute to their meals.
Insyallah we may get better response next year.

Project Goodwill 2017 ( still open till 25th June 2017)
In Singapore we are fortunate to have food on the table however this may not be the same elsewhere for families in Cambodia. While we consume much food here, there are 1000 families in 21 villages in Cambodia who needs help.
In this project goodwill, you will have the opportunity to sponsor the poor families in Cambodia for their daily necessities.
The following package can last for one month:
Infaq $73
1. Rice - 20kg
2. Raw Sugar - 2kg
3. Condensed Milk - 5 cans
4. Syrup - 1 Bottle
5. Cooking Oil - 1 liter
6. Can Sardine Ikan - 12 cans
The provision above can last one family a month. Depending on the size of the family. Some may need 2 packages.
This project is organized by Ikhwan Services.

Processing: 33 wells
There are many areas in Cambodia that require water to their homes. In this project we are aiming to assist 4,637 families from 3 communities in 25 villages to build them wells, water pump and filters to provide them with clean water.

A total of 583 wells are required to be built. We still have 300 more wells to go.
