What's new at ISE?

Currently we have two new interns joining us this week. Both from Mass Communication background and they will be supporting our editorial and graphic works. So we hope with this support we can more things up and running especially towards the Ramadan period.

Finding My Other Half - Path Towards Completing My Faith

To be human is to be loved and to spread love. Love is a special feeling granted by God and developed in the hearts of His servants. He created humankind in pair and blessed them with feelings of love and affection. Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. provided us with a picture of a blissful marriage life where his love relationship with Khadijah r.a. was built on the foundation of trust and respect. 

Their love was an abode of tranquility. This blessed love provides tranquilly and serenity as one strives towards achieving the Divine love of Allah s.w.t. For this reason, companionship is highly encouraged in Islam. The search for finding the rightful companion for a blissful marriage is a spiritual quest. 

This talk will specially address the concept of soulmate from the viewpoints of Islam. The invited speakers will elaborate on the importance of marriage institution. Questions like why marriage is regarded, as ‘the half of faith' and ‘why is marriage a spiritual quest' will be discussed. The talk will also extrapolate learning points from the Prophet Muhammad s.a.w's love story. Finally, this talk will also deliberate on the desired qualities of a spouse from the Quran and Sunnah and discuss possible challenges in the quest for the other half.

Before your marriage solemnisation, ROMM requires you to undertake the marriage guidance course. These courses aim to imbue you with the knowledge and skills in building a successful family life in the Islamic environment.

All courses will be issued with a Certificate of Course Completion by APKIM Resources and you are required to present this certificate to the Registry upon collection of your marriage certificate.

This June, we will be running this course at a more posh and central location at Raffles Place and we hope you will get to enjoy attending this course with all the facilities available.

ISLAM 4 All 2013 Workshop

Organised by Darul Arqam - a 3 day event not to be missed.

Islam4all Workshop (formerly known as Islam and Its Challenges Seminar) is planned as a bi-annual event to be held in June and December every year by Da'wah Division. Designed for the Muslim youth to engage in interactive lectures and discussions, this workshop addresses the fundamental aspects of Islam, studies of cross-cultural da'wah and comparative religions, and contemporary issues facing Islam and the community. It is an excellent platform to educate, train and engage the young generation in pursuit of da'wah, at the same time, nurturing them as agents of islah in the community at large.
