It has been a few weeks since the attacks on Gaza started. People from around the world are rallying to create awareness, signing petitions and governments are doing their best to make it stop. At the end of the day, wars are ugly and that is a fact and worse still it's the innocent civilians who are always the victims in any war or battle.

So how can we help?

DOA: We hope through our prayers, Allah swt will ease the pains of those suffering and insyallah in time, the hearts and minds of both parties will be in ease.

Monetary: MUIS have recently launched Rahmatan lil Alamin Fund to help the victims of this war. Insyallah with the little contributions it will help get them medicine, food and shelter.

You can contribute by ...

1) Donation boxes placed at all 69 mosques starting on Saturday, 10 January 2009. The boxes will be marked "Special Collection For Humanitarian Relief Effort in Gaza".

2) Donation in cash, by cheque as well as online.

• The cheque should be made payable to "MUIS" with the words "Humanitarian Relief Effort in Gaza" written on its back.
  
  
• The cash and cheques can be delivered to the Muis Headquarters at No 1, Lorong 6, Toa Payoh, Singapore 319376.
  
  
• Online contributions can be made through the Muis' E-services (Donation) website.
  
  
• For further clarification, you may also contact Muis at 6359 1199 during officer hours.

	Be a mentor to our Madrasah Students. In the spirit of volunteerisms, the Abangs and Kakaks from NUS, NTU and the Polytechnics are giving a helping hand to our adiks in the Madrasah to help them improve their scores in the PSLE examinations. It has been a year since this group was formed. And the success stories from Al-Irsyad Al-Islamiah. Part of our mission of setting up this company is develop technology to spread the word about Islam and the events / classes that is going on. More importantly also is to educate everyone on using technology and to push the community forward with it.

One of the easiest way of spreading the word today is through the online social networks. If you have been our Co-Founder, Fadzuli's Friends List, you would see the amounts of events being shared in there either from Islamicevents.sg or from the courses he conducts.
