All of us have a responsibility to convey the message. We are khalifah and need to to da'wah even though some of us may turn away from us.

Let's Get SIZZLED..

Two weeks ago, Ustaz Tarmizi called me up to asked if I could conduct this workshop for the Asatizahs & the New Media Officers in MUIS. He also suggested to have Bro Hafihz and Bro Shahib along to give the different perspectives of how online Dakwah can be done.

So we met up last week and within a few hours, we brainstorm the concept and came out with this HOT HOT name for the talk - Sizzling Dakwah 2.0.

Well what exactly will we be talking about in Sizzling Dakwah 2.0?

Sizzling Dakwah 2.0 aims to introduce how ideas are spread on the Internet. How web 2.0 technologies can connect people faster than ever before. So with that simple knowledge, how can we then utilise the tools and information for our own Dakwah work.

How Islam can be branded so that people can remember not just based on the surface but also on a spiritual level.

2) Online Videos - By Bro Shahib

How videos can attract attention and be used to teach and not just entertain.

Understanding the networking tools. Understand how not to SPAM. Understand how to get qualified referrals. Understand why will someone be your friend.

One Night Sunnah

One of our sources told us that Youth wings from 3 different mosques are collaborating in a very speacial event this weekend.

This program is an overnight program starting at 3pm to 11am the next morning. Unlike previous years where the youths usually conduct night cycling, this year will be different as the youths will be travelling to different mosques by foot and play games along the way.

ISLAMIC AWARENESS WEEK

The National University of Singapore Muslim Society (NUSMS) has been consistently promoting activities that assist in promoting understanding and integration between the various communities present in NUS.

A greater communal spirit can be achieved through first hand exposure to the lifestyle and religious practices of Muslims. We hope to achieve this through our exhibition, talks and visits to mosques in Singapore, along with religious centres of education and the religious authority in Singapore (Majlis Ugama Islam Singapura - MUIS). This programme will go great lengths in promoting a culture of respect.
