Shaykh Yahya Rhodus in Singapore!

SimplyIslam.sg is pleased to announce the visit and programs by Shaykh Yahya Rhodus, from 16 to 21 April 2009.

Shaykh Yahya was born and raised in America, and at 19 years he became Muslim and studied with Shaykh Hamza Yusuf and other distinguished scholars. He spent a year in Mauritania studying the Islamic sciences. In 2000, he moved to Tarim, Yemen to further his studies at the prestigious Dar al-Mustafa, guided under the hands of Habib 'Ali al-Jifry, Habib 'Umar bin Hafiz, and many others. Jalan Jalan Mencari Allah

This course is an introduction to macrophotography for Muslims with a view of appreciating the creation of Allah, the Creator.

Macrophotography is simply close up photography and you will will learn how to shoot the small creatures of Allah, both flora and fauna. By doing so, it is hope that you can learn to appreciate Allah's creations without the need to destroy them yet enjoy them in the comfort of your home for years to come.

This course is for newbies and we will teach you the basics of macrophotography and is very much a hands-on course. This course will be over two Saturday sessions starting on the Saturday of the 18th April 09 and 25th April 09. Each session will be from 7.00 am to 10.30 am. It will be held at Pasir Ris Park and the Singapore Botanical Gardens.

Fee is a low $50 per person.

Participants are expected to bring their own cameras (DSLR is preferred as point-and-shoot cameras can have severe limitations). Tripods and external flashes are huge pluses. Participants are expected to make their own way to the venues.

Each session will be limited to 10 participants to ensure maximum attention from us.
