Its been quite a while since we actually share about what's happening with our business. Currently we have Ameera (our writer & editor) to help us out during the school holidays and also we have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with NasiBriyaniLounge.com to support each other for content and traffic.

This week we will also witness the official opening of Masjid Al Mawaddah in Sengkang.

If you have been following us since a year back, we mentioned that we were not open to the idea of having a forum because it requires a staff to handle it and it could be quite cotsly for us to manage it at that time. But now NasiBriyaniLounge.com have come forward to support this. Instead of us creating a site for this, why not we compliment their services right.

A few weeks back the founders of NasiBriyaniLounge.com flew down to Singapore to discuss about this collaboration and possible seminars in the future together, insyallah. So do watch out for several posts through our blogs regards to discussions from NasiBriyaniLounge.com.

Demanding Tasks ahead..

As Founders moves around meeting people and looking for clients and potential affiliates, there's hardly time to update the Islamicevents.sg site. Hence we really needed help. And the great thing about this period is that its the Holidays for the Tertiary Students. So its a good time to hire interns and get great help.

So our resident writer, Sister Ameera is with us for this two months and she is hired to write daily articles and news and also to push out for the Writing Project which we started in December 08.

For those whom have written to us, we seek your patience as we are still compiling and suggesting topics with the other volunteer writers. Insyallah if everything goes to plan, this will be launch in Mid July.

Official Opening of
Masjid Al-Mawaddah

Bismillāh ar-Rahmān ar-Rahīm
In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Alhamdulillah the residents in Sengkang, Hougang and Punggol can now rejoice with the building of a new mosque at Compassvale Bow. With Buangkok MRT & Renjong LRT nearby, this mosque would prove to be accessible for those living in the North-East.

The dominant brown and geometric & modern architecture is a feast for the eyes while still retaining the traditional star & crescent design.

Tomorrow marks their official opening insyaAllah and gracing the event would be the Mufti of Singapore Syed Isa Semait and MP Yaacob Ibrahim. For all those who are nearby or who are able to come, why not have your Friday prayers at Masjid Al-Mawaddah instead of your usual mosque?

Also on Sunday, 17th May 2009 from 2pm to 4pm there will be a f.ree Marriage Seminar at the mosque.

Tujuan Seminar Perkahwinan ini adalah untuk meneliti konsep Mawaddah wa Rahmah yang tersurat dan tersirat dalam Surah Ar-Rum ayat 21. Konsep ini amat bertepatan dengan nama Masjid iaitu Al-Mawaddah.

PENGISIAN
Di akhir Seminar Perkahwinan ini, para peserta telah didedahkan dengan pengisian berikut:
> Erti cinta dalam Islam
> Konsep Mawaddah wa Rahmah
> Tuntutan Mawaddah wa Rahmah dalam perkahwinan
