It has been a very interesting week indeed. With the official opening of Al Mawaddah mosque and great articles written by our intern, our site has been bustling with event reminder notifications and great comments too. We thank you for utilising our site. Alhamdullilah.

1) Accepting Allah's Fate

- I know as a muslim,we have to accept anything that fated to us by Allah. But if that someone that has been taken away from me,can i pray & ask Allah to give back to me because i felt that someone has already left a deep impact on me and i juz cannot get on with my life without him.i already been trying for 5 yrs with no avail. I'm not asking for Allah to raise the dead anyway, but to mend a relationship. I love this guy so much that i willing to give up some of my lifespan on earth just to be with him..

Walk into any convenience store today and it is sure to have a section of glossy magazines that will cover the wall. From health, fashion, women, men, sports to cooking, there are countless magazines to cater to any kind of consumer.

I was reading a review of Muslim Girl Magazine earlier today and I thought to myself, would such a magazine have a market in Singapore? There is apparently a success Muslimah magazine based in UK called SISTERS Magazine. Are Muslim girls in Singapore in need of a magazine to cater to their interests? Would they fork out money if such a magazine was available?

Studies have shown that, in general, people tend to consume more iron on a daily basis than is necessary for good health. Ingestion of quantities of iron beyond a certain quantity can promote formation of free radicals in the body. Free radicals have justly earned their reputation for causing cellular changes which can disrupt normal cell function and increase the risk of certain chronic diseases such as heart disease and cancer. This is more likely to be a problem for men and post menopausal women since women of child bearing age shed excess iron through regular menstrual cycles. If a person happens to be a red meat eater, the risk for iron overload can be even higher.

How does blood donation help with iron overload? Blood donation removes some of the excess iron which can cause free radical formation in the body. In fact, studies have shown that men who donate blood on a regular basis have a lower risk of heart disease. With heart disease being the number one cause of death in males, this is, indeed, an important health benefit of donating blood.
