Assalammualaikum wr wb,

Dear ,

How's your week so far? We are already in the second half of the year and we hope that you are hitting your goals.

Yesterday I had a refreshing time sitting down with Luqman's (Islamicevents.sg Founder) father, Dr Hadi. We were talking about time, and he quoted, Time is not just money. In Islam Time is LIFE. We cannot reverse time and hence we must make full use of it in our lives.

So I went to research a bit on this online and found this..

Taken from http://www.ezsoftech.com/akram/time.asp

There are among those who believe in the popular saying as "Time is Gold." Time in Islam is more than Gold or any precious material thing in this world. Of all religions, only Islam guides mankind not only to the importance of time but also how to value it. Allah the Almighty and His Messenger, Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), very clearly tell us the value of time, why we must not waste it and how we can make use of our time wisely to increase our Eeman (Faith) and thus attain success, especially eternal success in the life hereafter.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We hope that the emails we sent you week in and week out is not wasting your time as we do our best to provide you as much value as we can.

So , please read on.

Graduates' Tea 2009

Written by Ameera

Bismillāh ar-Rahmān ar-Rahīm
In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Have you recently smelled the sweet smell of graduation freedom?
Free now from the binds & rigor of tertiary education & yet tasting your long-awaited accomplishment with low spirits?

Mendaki Club hears you! The President of Mendaki Club wrote "I was fortunate to graduate at a time that was less difficult for the global economy, and I know that many of you will feel that you face several challenges now. Many of these are significant, but can in fact be dealt with if you have the right aptitudes and attitudes."

That sums up the theme for this year's Graduates' Tea that will be held at Furama Riverfront Hotel this 11th July 2009.

If you are a local or overseas graduate of Class 2007, 2008 or 2009, don't miss this opportunity for networking and also to hear from the professionals and to pick up certain valuable skills!

The speakers for the evening would be Mr Zaqy Mohd, Mr Abdul Rahim Tahir, Mr Sujimy Mohd and Ms Haslinda Zamani. Check out their respective profiles here.

We managed to get in touch with Ms Dian, the Chairman for the Graduates' Tea and asked her several questions.

Azan heard from the Moon?

salams all

what do you people think about the voices from the moon (azan) that are heard by neil armstrong (the first man on moon)? is it just a rumour or is it true? ive researched it on the net but found articles saying that its just rumours.. but some say the jewish just want to cover up those things as they dont want to accept that Islam is the true religion. and it is being told too that neil armstrong converted into Islam as he heard the azan on the moon and also saw waves towards the Kaabah (if im not wrong)..

comments about this??? :)

How often is it that you get inspired by something in your email? Now how about getting inspired every week by a line from the Qur'an?

In our busy schedules and increasing dependence on emails and the web, Faithhub and Islamicevents.sg has collaborated on a project to get into the business of inspiring people.

Its a simple recipe to get blessings from Allah:

  • Reflect on lines that you have read from the Qur'an.
  • Write a few lines about your reflection.
  • Find someone who has the means & tools to spread the message.
  • Get others to also reflect and hopefully be inspired!

Sounds simple enough, no? If you are interested in getting such emails to help you reflect and get inspired yourself, visit www.quranicinspirations.com
