5th November marks another prestigious day. Today Islamicevents.sg is exactly 2 years old. Have we come a long way?

Well we are still considered a start up business! A full fledge company usually take 5 years to be a mature company with stabiliy. The last year we did many things, attempted to do things sometimes beyond our comfort zone.

Some were charged and mostly at no cost! Some people asked us how we sustain all these 2 years especially when we had to pay interns, writers and so on.

Well you want to know the secret? Well its no secret at all, we dont have any venture capitalists to throw money at us and build us up. Neither do we have our parents giving us money to run our business. Seriously.

What we have are just still ideas and skills and making things happen.

Founders

Fadzuli - I had to do many things, selling and do what necessary is to stay afloat. And yes I am the Boss, the staff, the secretary, the accountant, the decision maker and so on..

Fazli - He is in his final lap in NUS. Will really be glad to have him on board soon to push all the plans full swing.

Luqman - He's been MIA for the last one year though, but he's still in the picture when we need him. He's getting his first Child soon!!

Interns

Ameera - thanks for all the hardwork. Her passion in writing and stirring the community with her ideas are really great. Definitely a gem in the community.

Shahiddeen - thanks for updating the events for Ramadhan. It was over 100 events, couldn't do this without his help.

People that left

We have to thank Bro Fadzrun for helping out for almost a year. He's currently working as an Air Traffic Controller at Changi Airport.

A New Team

The founders decided to give away a portion of their shares and tie down a 3 year partnership with Planet Spiritual under Zag Fahmoa to help out with the offline marketing.

Yes there is a big percentage of the Muslim community that is not reachable via Online Means, hence this partnership adds value to our current business.

Because of Planet Spiritual we have good ties with Madrasah Aljunied and access to thousands of databases through their events. Really its thousands!

We are expecting to grow ten folds in the next one year. Insyallah.

We are also glad and are thankful that through our feedbacks, some of the events that are listed in our portal had FULL House events. Alhamdullilah.

We hope to make this better as this is our main objective - to create awareness of the events and to get people there.

What's going to happen the next year!

Event listings are still at no charge. Hence if you are the event organisers or running courses, please keep submitting your events.

Full blast campaigns - Either requires partnership / Advertising on our site. Hence please write in to us for details.

At this moment, the LIVE Web Casts & Streaming are still in the plans and pipeline. However there is still a lot of ground work for that to happen and materialize. If that launches, we will be running like a mini TV station, hence this requires intensive manpower, commitment and proper planning. A wrong move, might cause detrimental effects.

Another Project - Project Syukran with Bro Shahib Amin from Syukran.org to run a video competition on Gratitude.

Halal Locations - As we do have halal outlets listed at Muis websites, but we realise we have those Makcik stalls at several food centers that have no means of advertising, publicity and they are also HALAL. Why not we get the word out for them right! Support our Muslim Businesses!

And many more... we even thought of going into the Death Business such as Wills and so on. :)

We'll see if we can collaborate with others to do this. Hey its still under one large umbrella!
