How has Syawal been for you? We hope you are doing well. Insyallah.

Time really flies, one week we are in meeting with some writers and the next we are coming out with charts for execution. What are we up to? We are in the mids of forming a proper Editorial Team.

As you can see our updates hasn't been consistent for the last few months cos with the limited manpower and cash we had, one person have to do 10 things. Hence with a little bit of cashflow from our commerce sales and projects, we are re-investing these funds to create a more structured and systematic work process. These will take a few months to form properly, so we hope by year end everything will go fine. Insyallah. 

So in our recent blog post, we posted that we are looking for Product Reviewers and we had a few inquiries about it. Let me share with you here.

You might have heard of Movie Critics right?

What do these people do?Before these movies get release to the public, the critics will get to see the movie first. Hence their job is to give reviews and if its good, they will give their recommendations otherwise be frank that its just a boring movie.

Similarly the Product reviewer will also get first hand the items that we will be promoting. Yes before others get to see it, you get to read it or hear the songs first.

After the Raya break, events are starting to come in again. Several courses are up on our portal. If you are looking to widen your knowledge in Islam and so on, do check them out.

Qurban Directory

We are also in the mids of sending proposals to the different Qurban service providers to advertise their services in the Qurban Directory. Well we can't give it f.ree this time round as let's be honest, the providers do get a handsome cut by providing such a service. So its fair enough that we charge them a small fee for advertising for more than 40 days at a rate of less than $3-4 per day. So if you are providing qurban services, consider this option.

Imagine @ $4 per day of advertising. Even with one sale per day for a sheep in China/India worth $120. That is already a huge percentage in returns. So don't wait too long to make this small decision.

Imam As-Shafii - Steadfast In The Search For Knowledge

This week's khutbah invites us to reflect upon the struggle of a scholar by the name of Imam As-Shafii who has sacrificed his heart, soul and wealth in his search for knowledge.

· Inculcating the culture of religious consciousess in our children at a very young age.
· Improving the knowledge of our faith, irrespective of our educational background.
· Using the wordly knowledge which we possess, to give us a better sense of understanding of our religion.

Don't Be Sad (review)

"La Tahzan" or "Don't Be Sad"

From our own research. Forgive us if there are inaccuries, the phrase "La Tahzan" was mentioned by the Prophet s.a.w many times to his companion Abu Bakar r.a during their Hijrah from Makkah to Madinah.

So imagine them travelling 400 km in the desert. It was indeed a tough period. During this tough journey, the Prophet s.a.w keep mentioning "La Tahzan" to Abu Bakar to calm him down.

It is very hard to find SELF HELP Books like this in the market. Furthermore it's in English. Usually we would see such books in Arabic or in our native Malay language. The standards though is comparable to reading Books like the 7th Habits of Highly Effective people and many more of such. The book explains using verses from the Quran and other quotes on how Islam teaches us to deal with the tests we face in life. This book is a key to a peaceful heart and mind. I read this book, contemplated it and awed by it.

It's an open minding book. Go figure... You see, you think you're the only one who's miserable in this universe, well think again there are thousand more people out there, whose lives worse than yours.So don't be sad, be grateful for what you have.

Something happens for a reason, and you'll never know what it is until you find it. Just live for what you have today, stop crying your heart out for what has already happened, because no matter how hard you cry, nothing can bring it back and Instead of dreaming of something out of your reach, just enjoy what you have now - today as for tomorrow, we never know.

Remember, death is something you can't bargain...everything in this world is possibilities except death. So, don't be sad, enjoy your life while you can. Don't be sad, every cloud has a silver lining. So wipe your tears and paint a smile on your pretty face. Come out of the dark, and reach the light. Take off your sorrow robe, put on your happiness armor.

So many things said in this book that will make you think this world is not that narrow after all...each page will make you feel stronger and realize that this world is enormous to reach for your happiness and time is to fast to be filled with sadness.... SO, DON'T BE SAD!
