We have not written this newsletter since 3 weeks ago. Well as usual many things are going on and it does become a challenge working in small groups to execute a hundred things.

Alhamdulillah things are slowly improving. Insyallah we will get the blog articles up and running again in the shortest time. Do pray for us. Thank you.

Must Watch Event

 

Happening tonight. Don't miss this event at 7.30pm tonight. Live from Madrasah Aljunied Auditorium.

Since 3 years ago, when Ustaz Khalil Moore was invited by Darul Arqam to speak in Singapore, the auditoriums have always been filled to the brim and there were even occasions that attendees have no seats and had no choice but to view this session outside the Auditoriums. Even so the venue outside was crammed with people.

So this time round, the organizing company Project Spirituality headed by Ustazah Maimunah Alhabsi ( Organiser ) has contacted us to allow this event to be streamed online for the benefit for all even those that are overseas or unable to get seats in the Auditorium.

Majlis Selawat atas Rasulullah saw

Alhamdulillah last Sunday's Majlis was a success attracting a big group of Youths this time down round. Thanks to the staff of Masjid Khair which requested for their Sunday Madrasah students to attend the session. Insyallah this can be a catalyst to attract more and more youths to the mosque.

The next Maulid session will be on the 29th of May 2011 @ Masjid Sultan. The theme of that Majlis is still in discussion. Ustaz Hasbi has suggested to have Zikrullah to be integrated into the Majlis. What do you think about it?

Story: A Tragedy May Be a Blessing

The only survivor of a shipwreck was washed up on a small, uninhabited island ....

He prayed feverishly for Allah to rescue him,and every day he scanned the horizon for help, but none seemed forthcoming.

Exhausted, he eventually managed to build a little hut out of driftwood to protect him from the elements and to store his few possessions.

But then one day, after scavenging for food, he arrived home to find his little hut in flames, the smoke rolling up to the sky. The worst had happened;everything was lost. He was stunned with grief and anger.

"Allah, how could you do this to me!" he cried.

(Comment; Plenty of people use such statement -- think again you should never question Allah nor object to his willing)

Early the next day, however, he was awakened by the sound of a ship that was approaching the island. It had come to rescue him.

"How did you know I was here?" asked the weary man of his rescuers. "We saw your smoke signal," they replied.

It is easy to get discouraged when things are going badly.

But we shouldn't lose heart, because Allah is at work in our lives, even in the midst of pain and suffering.

Remember, next time your little hut is burning to the ground-it just may be a smoke signal that summons The Grace of Allah.
