Aiming for the little Red Dot: Al Maghrib Institute is coming to SINGAPORE! With 30 locations in 5 countries and expanding, 17 eminent instructors and over 33,000 students worldwide (and growing!), Al Maghrib Institute proves to be one of the leading Islamic institute in the West offering high quality, premiere Islamic education to the masses. Background Established in 2002 in North America as a non-profit organization, Al Maghrib Institute aims to provide sound Islamic knowledge from qualified and credible teachers. Amongst some of their prolific trainers are Muhammad Al-Shareef, Yasir Qadhi, Dr Reda Bedeir from Al-Azhar, Sheikh Waleed Basyouni and Sheikh Abdullah Hakim Quick who delivered a series of lectures in Singapore not too long ago. Al Maghrib Institute has since grown, and multiplied into many branches in Canada, the US, the UK (including Scotland), and most recently, in Malaysia. What is so special about Al Maghrib Institute? Al Maghrib Institute offers more than just a typical teacher-classroom setting. Its exclusivity lies on its custom-designed weekend seminars and classes (so to those working people this is a great opportunity for us!), followed by highly interactive and creative enrichment activities created specially for the students. After all, we just want learning Islam to be fun, social, spiritual yet academic. Do you know that the multi-branches of Al Maghrib Institute are run mostly by VOLUNTEERS? Yes! Amazing isn't it? Except for the Al Maghrib administrative head office, all the other locations are purely ran by volunteers. These are the people who put their efforts in sharing and spreading the knowledge of Islam. Subhanallah! Al-Maghrib Institute to be in Singapore by 2012 So a loud shoutout to Singapore! Al Maghrib Institute is heading next to our sunny little island! Recently on 6th October 2011 we just had our first volunteer session at Muhajirin Mosque. Subhanallah it was really great to meet sisters and brothers who shared their experiences and gems attending Al Maghrib programs. Plus! we voted the name ITQAAN for the branch in Singapore! Go Go Banu ITQAAN! "So make sure to have your ikhlas from now on because this is going to be your continuous charity in your deeds. Maybe 3-4 years you would have moved on with your life to something else, but you are the one who planted the seed to Al Maghrib. Even after you die, Allah subhanahu wa ta'aala will put this in your scale weight if you have the right intention." - Sheykh Waleed Abdulhakeem Reaching out to the people of Singapore So brothers and sisters, in order to get Banu ITQAAN to become a full fledge Qabeelah (chapter) in Singapore, we need more and strong volunteers to help us. Brothers and sisters, we need you! We need your support in terms of marketing, administration, hospitality, student development, IT and whatever your expertises are. Feel free to email almaghribSG@gmail.com and LIKE their Facebook page here: - Al Maghrib Singapore - Let's bring Al maghrib Insitute to Singapore Please do not hesitate to spread this message to the mass. May Allah ease the noble intention to spread the wisdom of Islam. Ameen. Writer's Note: to find out more about Al Maghrib Institute, log on to http://almaghrib.org | ||
