All praises be to Allah swt, Lord of all Universe. The Most Merciful and the Most Kind. Blessings be to our Prophet Muhammad saw, his family and his companions. Assalammualaikum wr wb, We hope you are doing well. In a few more days Muslims around the World will be acknowledging the birthday of Rasulullah saw. Annually in Singapore and around the region, massive events and gatherings usually takes place during this period. In this newsletter we will line you up with the events taking place insyallah. Also take note of the weekend events where we have special guest speakers from overseas. So .. Read on.

Events this Mawlid.. As of a month ago, we only knew that Masjid Khadijah are doing their annual "12 Days Selawat Sessions" at the mosque from Maghrib to Isyak. All are invited. If you know of any other mosques that are doing the 12 days, do drop us a note and we can make a summary of it at our blog section. This weekend from what we heard, there will be a gigantic gathering under Ustaz Fahrurazi Group at Singapore Expo. You may want to go for this on Sunday. Next week Starting on the 3rd, 4th, 5th of February 2012, Masjid Sultan will be running a series of activities and also a bazaar at the mosque premises. On Friday, 3rd February 2012 there will be a forum by local Asatizah after Maghrib. On the 4th February 2012, there are many events occuring around Singapore. 1) Malam Puisi Islam @ Sultan Mosque Auditorium (See banner below) For those who want to experience a different kind of "feel" towards Rasulullah saw, we will suggest that you go for this event. 2) At Madrasah Aljunied Al Islamiah, Ustaz Shafi's group will holding their Mawlid there after Maghrib. 3) At Al Mutaqqin Mosque ( Ang Mo Kio ), MUIS will also be holding a session with Mufti from 6pm onwards on this day. This event will be broadcasted LIVE. We will inform you of the web link by next week. 4) Majlis Haflah Dzikir Maulidurrasul SAW 2012 @ 53 Aliwall Street. And we believe that there are definitely more activities going on through out Singapore. If you do know any events other than the one mention above, do share it with us. 5th February 2012 Our monthly Selawat @ Sultan Mosque A lot of lessons was learnt during the last Majlis Selawat and this event the comittee takes the initiative to improve it. In remembrance of the Prophets SAW B'day, the committee decided to use this opportunity to share 3 details about the Prophets Life. - His Birth From the start to the end of this event, we do our best to fit in the Prophets Life Journey, so that the whole 4-5 hours won't be just sitting down and listening. We would like to see you being enriched with knowledge yet re-charged also. Also come down to support the Bazaar @ Masjid Sultan. Look for Islamic Products, Food and more there. This event officially starts at 8.30am. As it is the Prophet's Birthday, Masjid Khadijah Burdah Group will start with Burdahs as early as 7am after the Subuh Prayers.. As you stream in to the mosque, do come and join into these sessions. This event will also be the final Siri for this "season" and the committee will take a month break before embarking on a new season on 1st April at Al Khair Mosque ( Choa Chu Kang ).
