Safinah is happy to announce the launch of its new English Islamic courses for 2012.

Below are some of the courses we'll be conducting on weeknights and weekends for the entire family.

8-Week Courses for Adults

1. Quranic Studies Course: Surah Yaseen

Thursdays, 7.30pm-9.30pm
with Ustaz Muhammad Fizar
Fee: $120 + $10 reg. fee

A weekly roundtable discussion on selected chapters and verses from the Quran, touching on topics relating to the Syariah, history, and the sciences of the Holy Book. Each session contains a segment which shares inspirational and practical verses for our daily lives.

2. Fiqh Fundamentals Course

Fridays, 7.30pm-9.30pm
with Ustaz Muhammad Tarmizi
Fee: $110 + $10 reg. fee

An 8-week course dedicated to explaining the history of how Fiqh evolved from the days of our Beloved Prophet s.a.w. to the days of the four Imams. We will look into some examples on how rulings were derived during the period of the Companions of the Prophet r.a. and how those principles - as taken from the Quran and Sunnah - can be applied into our everyday practice.

3. Hadith Course: Living the Spirit of the Sunnah

Saturdays, 11.15am-1.15pm
with Ustaz Hidayat Raja Nurul Bahri
Fee: $110 + $10 reg. fee

In this course, participants will be studying some of the most interesting and well-known sayings of Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. and how we can best embody the values he taught on a daily basis.

4. Al-Qasas: In the Footsteps of Allah's Chosen Messengers

Tuesdays, 7.30pm-9.30pm
with Ustaz Saifur Rahman
Fee: $130 + $10 reg. fee

In this brand new course, participants will relive and experience the lives of Allah's most beloved Messengers a.s. from Prophet Adam a.s. to Prophet Isa a.s.

We'll dig into the rich history of the amazing lives of these blessed men of faith, the challenges they overcame and their profound love for Allah s.w.t.

This course covers Prophet Adam a.s., Prophet Nuh, Prophet Ibrahm, Prophet Ismail and Prophet Ishaq.

5. The Prophet's Character: Lessons on Character, from our Beloved Prophet's Life

Wednesdays, 7.30pm-9.30pm
with Ustaz Mohd Noor Deros
Fee: $120 + $10 reg. fee

This course takes on a unique approach to learning about our beloved Prophet Muhammad's beautiful character through the study of his inspiring life; from his innocent yet trying childhood, all the way till the period of his remarkable Prophethood.

Year-Long Programme for Teens and Kids

1. Young Khalifah Programme: Teens

Sundays 10.30am-12.30pm
For Teens 13-14 years of age (Level 1 Class)
Fee: $55/mth + $15 for registration

2. Young Khalifah Programme: Kids

Saturdays 2.00pm-4.30pm
For Kids 6-10 years of age
Fee: $55/mth + $15 for registration
