All praises be to Allah swt, Lord of all Universe. The Most Merciful and the Most Kind. Blessings be to our Prophet Muhammad saw, his family and his companions. Assalammualaikum wr wb, How are you doing? We hope you are in the best of health and iman. Last week when we send out this newsletter, we asked you to reply back, "I am reading this". Amazingly we received more than 80 responses out of 955 emails that was opened. We thank you for the spontaneous actions. Wasn't it fun? It's the March holidays. We would like to ask you to take care of yourself if you are travelling overseas. Drive safe and may Allah swt protect you and family during those trips. And for the others who are still here, well there are plenty of activities to keep you occupied and if you have kids you can send them to camps too. Also we would like to address some administrative issues regards to "Why are not all the events in the portal". Ooh yeah and we have some bad news too. So , read on...
"Why are not all the events in the portal" As we have been around for more than 4 years now, we learn to be more cautious of events that is not relevant such as those Cultural related or unIslamic in nature. Hence all events submission are required to go through a screening process and are manually approved. How to submit an event? Step 1: Go to our portal: www.islamicevents.sg Can anyone send this event in? Yes. Anyone can submit an event. But what if we are not the organisers and we just want to let the community in Islamicevents.sg know about these events? Best that you write in to the organisers first that you are helping them to submit the events for them before making the submission. We don't want you to be blamed for giving incomplete information. As we know that some organisations/mosques are not so tech savy, they may not understand how to create a poster, how to open the Internet browser to surf and such, hence the many other challenges. Not all organistions know us? Yes. We can say that we've been around for 4 years. Featured in Newspaper (BH), active in Facebook but there are still lots of grounds to reach and we are working on it day by day to reach out to them. Now we can't do this with just 3 people in our team. 3 hour Traininig Session... We have been considering to do a 1 hour training session on a monthly basis to teach individuals/volunteers so that you can reach out and help out these organisations to submit these events. If you are keen, please reply - " YES I would like to Help! " Now here's the job! Its not going to be easy as we have 70 mosques and several other organisations in Singapore. Pre-Requisites. So once again if you are interested. If you are keen, please reply - " YES I would like to Help! "
The Dinar Dirham issues has really been HOT stuff lately. Out of no where one after another organisation or company pops up with their version of Dinar & Dirhams and the issue arrises when prices varies. Arguements about quality and the way of the Dinar & Dirham being used also starts to be debated in Facebook and other cyber realms. Do we really have a solution to these issues? Is Paper Money really Haram? If it is Haram then what are the solutions to these problems? Now some of these issues we asked are very deep and its actually not for everyone to know but since the questions are being raised, someone needs to answer them right? In Singapore we actually do have scholars who have been studying these matters for years and they have solutions to it. In this up coming event, two prominent scholars, Akhi Abdul Halim Abdul Karim and Ustaz Ustaz Anwar Hussain Bin Ismail will share with you the following topics. This talk is in Malay, hence we would like to apologize to the Non Malay speaking friends. For those of you interested in this event, please refer to our event page for more details.

Can your Kids Tell a Story?I still remember those days in Primary school, we always have this story telling competition every year but this is slightly different. Instead of telling stories of Little Red Riding Hood or Cinderall, how about getting them to share stories of the Prophets, Sahabats and more. I can already imagine the little Ustaz and Ustazah!!! How cute they will be on stage. So if your kids have the flair for talking get them on this program. Can't see the image clearly, get details here.

In our Blog..
