We hope you are doing well. If you are not, know that whatever challenges that you are going through is temporary and you can overcome it.

We would like to announce a New Project that we will be embarking on. Our subscribers here in Islamicevents.sg is growing very rapidly. At this point when I am typing this email, we have exactly 2,720 subscribers and what is awesome is that usually at least half of you will open our emails and read them.We would like to thank you for that.

Souk Membership

So we have thought about it a lot, as we are still a small enterprise with just 3 person managing everything, we decided to to do something to scale our funds. Yes doing this work also requires tons of money and energy besides doing our primary Web projects and Marketing campaigns.

We honeslty don't know if this will help or create more problems in our backend jobs but as entrepreneurs we will take the risks and we want you, our subscribers to feel the benefits of all the work and energy put into it.

So this coming July...

We will introduce a Souk Membership Card.

Souk means Marketplace in Arabic ( Correct me if I am wrong ).

Similar to many discount cards available out there, the Souk Membership Card will allow you (when you sign up), up to 5% to 40% discounts at selected Muslim Restaurants, Merchants & Service Providers. And that includes the discounts at Islamicevents e-store too.

So why wait till July? Like all things especially with the small crew it takes a while to get thing ups especially with our current tasks. Hopefully you have this just before Ramadan, so that you can use this discount cards to patronise the Halal Restaurants and get discounts during Iftar and of course for you shopping for new clothes and such for the Eid.

Poetry Competition - Imam Al Ghazali

We guess its too tough to write a Poem about this great Imam as we have no submissions at all. Perhaps the prize offer isn't so attractive. I guess we can still offer this competition after this seminar this Saturday especially to the participants that are attending.

Hopefully we can find one or two bright Poets among our community. :).

Majlis Selawat Ke Atas Rasulullah S.A.W

This month on the 29th April 2012, the Majlis Selawat Crew returns back to Masjid Sultan for the next installment of this event. And this time round we bring you a much more touching theme about how to bring up your Child as a Muslim parent.

Why this theme is chosen?

Masjid Sultan is running their annual Aqiqah program and the crew thought that theme would be appropriate for this Majlis.

Bringing up a child in this era is not an easy task especially when both parents have to work just to meet the monthly bill mortgages and bill payment but as busy as we are, we know that children is an "Anugerah" (a gift) from Allah swt. It is important for us to bring them up right from young and give them the proper education so that they wil be useful to the community some day.
