Every year the School holidays will be packed with activities. Here we are just going to make your choices more difficult. We won't narrow or recommend to which camp is better to go to. Let's be fair to the organisers as they do take time and effort just to organise these camps for you.

We will let you choose to where do you want to send your kids, teens to have fun and yet receiving Islamic Knowledge through kinesthetic learning. So below is a listing of these events.

Islamic Enrichment Camp for Children - Camp Tarbiyah

The objectives of this camp are:-

• To appreciate the basic human senses.
• To fully appreciate the senses through activities.
• To learn one of Allah’s name, Ash Shakur.
• To know the importance of prayer.

Al-Khawarizmi Camp 12

Kassim Mosque Youth Wing (Youth@Kassim) will organising 2 days 1 night camp at Astronomy Complex, Malacca. Open to age 13 and above. This camp will include tracking, Night observation, visit Traditional kueh factory and visit the historical town of Malacca.

Abu Abdullah Mohammad Ibn Musa al-Khawarizmi, known as Father of Algebra, was born at Khawarizm (Kheva), south of Aral Sea, Uzbekistan.Al Khawarizmi was a great Muslim mathematician, astronomer and geographer.His development of astronomical tables was a significant contribution to the field of astronomy, on which he also wrote a book.The contribution of Khawarizmi to geography is also worth mentioning, in that not only did he revise Ptolemy's views on geography, but also corrected them in detail as well as his map of the world.Other contributions include original work related to clocks, sundials and astrolabes.

In line with Teen aLIVE year 1 on Lesson (Aren't They Great!) that discussing on our Muslim scholar during Gold Era from Muslim World. The outcome of this camp is :
-To experience the journey of Al-Khawarizmi in Astronomy.
-To make better understanding & as a learning journey for the Teen's year 2 students

Camp Xplore2

- For Teenagers

The theme for this event is called “Aye Aye (I-I) Captain, the lost heart." The first 'I' represents Integrity and whereas the second "I" represents Intention.

We want to inculcate the importance of having integrity in whatever we do. This can be achieved by cultivating the practice of reflecting on one’s actions by assessing the niat. We aim to emphasise on these practices through the various activities conducted during the camp.

Various engaging activities, such as, TREASURE HUNT have been prepared for the camp from Masjid Darul Ghufran to Masjid Alkaff. Besides that, interactive discussions and reflection sessions will also be included to deliver positive Islamic values that can be learned from the aforementioned activities.

ONS5 - One Night Of Sunnah 5

The ONS is back again for the 5th time! One Night of Sunnah (ONS) is a 2 day,1 night camp which aims to promote the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)to youth of age 14-18 years of age, through fun-filling activities. It is hoped that through this camp, youth will learn more about our beloved Prophet Muhammad PBUH and increase their love for him.


This year's theme will be "Kiamat Diri".

NUSMS Muslimah Night is a biannual event which was last held two years ago in 2010. This year, we have decided to organise this event again, Muslimah Night 2012: Girls Night In: Midsummer Spectrum, as we recognised the need for Muslim women to come together as a whole community and appreciate Islamic teachings through the lens of a Muslim undergraduate woman. As female Muslims strive to gain knowledge about their religion and endeavours to increase their faith, there is one important issue that is often neglected which is Sisterhood in Islam. Therefore, discovering one's true self-worth as a woman and a Muslimah as well as the significance of sisterhood in Islam will remain our focus for this event.

During this event, several problems faced by Muslim women especially as undergraduates, will be briefly introduced. There will be a sharing of views, experiences and ways proposed to tackle them, which would be applicable to our daily life. We are aware of the importance of promoting a strong sisterhood amongst the Muslim undergraduate women and letting them discover their own self-worth and identity. The event will be a platform for women to share the obstacles and difficulties they face as an undergraduate and at the same time increase their knowledge about the Islamic faith and appreciate the spirituality of a Muslimah in a comfortable and friendly atmosphere.

Objectives:

1) To create an intellectually stimulating, intimate and emotional environment
2) Reach out to all Muslimahs
3) Discover ourselves
4) Foster sisterhood among sisters
5) Address modern issues that Muslimah undergraduates can relate to.
