All praises be to Allah swt, Lord of all Universe. The Most Merciful and the Most Kind. Blessings be to our Prophet Muhammad saw, his family and his companions. Assalammualaikum wr wb, We hope you are in the best of health and iman. The month of Syabaan have arrived and this is the month that the Prophet Muhammad saw is known to fast and pray more than other months beside Ramadan. It is also an indication that the Prophet of Allah swt is also telling us to prepare for the blessed month of Ramadan. When we were little, it is only in Ramadan then we are encourage to fast and go for night prayers. And often the habit usually dies after 2nd week of Ramadan and as usual you will see the mosques emptied or with very few Safs covered for the Terawih prayers except for the last ten nights. Usually second week and third week, you can see the safs getting smaller. Have we asked ourselves why is that so? Of course we can come out with tons of reasons like work and such. But have we never look into ourselves and tell us ourselves that this has not yet become a habit for us. Did you know that habits are only formed when you do that same thing consistently over and over again for at least 40 days. If you have friends that declared that they would stop smoking in Ramadan, share with them this too. Tell them to start at least 10 days earlier in Ramadan. By Syawal insyallah that habit can be removed. Perhaps we should have a challenge for this eh? So what will your Sya'aban be like my friends? Are you preparing for Ramadan. Start now to remove bad habits and acquire new ones.
