Its another weekend. We hope you in the great company of family and friends this Syawal. May you be blessed always.

Here we would like to make a few quick announcements regards to some of our business processes and regards to the funds we raised on our portal. Also check out the upcoming awesome events.

So read on.

Islamicevents.sg Shop Online Processes

One step at a time. We are taking steps to fine tune the delivery processes for our online shop.

The Processes are as shown:

1) Orders received by Admin.
2) Admin will contact Courier & Inform them to pick up items from various suppliers. Once or twice a week
3) Courier sent to Packing center.
4) Packing center packs orders and contact Area Despatcher.
5) Area Despatcher will collect item, contact client to deliver items.
6) Items delivered.
7) Area despatcher returns with signed invoice.

On average an order will take 7-14 days from the point of order to delivery.

So to our lovely suppliers, please take note the system is in place within the next two weeks.

Due to these, there are operation and manpower costs involved. Delivery fees will be raised to $10 per order from the usual $7. Other items may costs more due to packaging and such.

Please take note that we will not be accepting walk in customers anymore as the Packing Center and products is not located at our main office. All orders will be despatched and delivered.

Last Ramadan we wrote in to you to help us out to sponsor the development of this portal.

Even though we set a target of $10K, we've only managed to raise $1239 as shown in the image on the right.

So what we will be doing with the sums.

With the 10K budget, we initially intended to hire a few more developers to work on the various components that have been in planning for quite a while.

Projects in queue:

1) Ask an Asatizah Section.

A section that you can ask anything about Islam. Very similar to IASK program that MUIS featured a few years back. This components requires proper administrators, rewards to relevant Asatizahs and more.

2) Reward system for users.

In order to get you be in constant contact, we would love to provide points and incentives to the visitors to the site. Users have to do certain activities to accumulate points then can be exchange for SMS credits / discounts for classes and more.

Activities that can be rewarded:

Can be as simple as forward an even information to 10 friends or share information to FB/Twitter and more.

And of course these ideas can just grow and grow.

3) Weekly Live Streaming Talks.

A project that started and ended 2 years ago. An attempt to revolutionize weekly talks started two years ago but the project ended 3 months later due to manpower, operating and equipment expenses. Its time to revive it again.

So with the $1,239, we will implement the "Ask Ustaz" section first and insyallah as we go along we will implement each one by one.
