"Since the Mawlid is essentially about celebrating the birth & the gift that is Prophet Muhammad (S), we are attempting to showcase the many expressions of love for him (S). You can write a poem (English or Malay), draw, paint or record yourself answering the following questions:
1. What I love most about the Prophet (S) / Why I love the Prophet (S)
2. One aspect of the Prophet (S) that I would like to emulate, and why.
3. What the Prophet (S) means to me
This will be our little gift for Prophet Muhammad (S) for all his sacrifices and guidance. The videos that are submitted will also be compiled to create a video montage to be shown during the Mawlid Festival 2012. We hope that through these videos, we can help to dispel many misconceptions about Prophet Muhammad (S), and that the Islamophobes will see just how well-loved our Prophet Muhammad (S) is.
Submit all entries to ameera@muzlimbuzz.sg by 18th September 2012. Send your artwork (if it is not in digital format) to SimplyIslam (152 Still Road) from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm."
