Assalammualaikum wr wb,

With the latest news regards to the non availability of performing the Qurban in Singapore for this year, we are even asked to consider performing it overseas. Besides the private service providers, mosques are also urge to look beyond our shores this year.

Similar to the email we sent out two weeks ago, we would like to remind you to be in a state of sabr and yet grateful because we can still perform the Qurban overseas. However we do hope that MUIS and the relevant authorities will be taking massive actions to resolve these issues for the coming years otherwise we, Singaporeans will not be able to enjoy this practise and this can have spill over effects in the generations to come.

What do we mean by spill over effects?

When a practise is stopped, future generations might think this isn't important. And when that happens, we too become ignorant of this. Future generations may not be able experience what our generation have seen and done for Qurban.

We may think right now -"How can that be?" In reality this could happen if the authorities don't take serious measures to find alternatives to the current problems we face now.

For now...
