Alhamdulillah. We have been given another opportunity to witness and live through another day and insyallah in another Maulid season which is going on now. The beginning of Rabiul Awaal 3 days ago have already gotten several mosques started the 12 days tradition of welcoming the Maulid season. Every night after Maghrib or Isyak mosques like Masjid Khadijah and Masjid Sultan will have recitations and maulids going on. For busy people like us, do attempt to at least attend one of them.

What's going this week?

We've been drumming up the Madeehul Mustafa and the Muslimah Convention since last December. Well the event is this weekend. Just a few days from now. Tickets for Madeehul Mustafa's - Spiritual Rhythm event has been sold out on our end. If you are still hunting for it? Remember our post last week about 100 tickets being INFAQ?

On our end, we still have 5 ( $38 ) tickets left. To get these tickets, you must be under 25 years old and you need to write an article titled - "What is Qasidah to you..." in 400 words. Hurry up yah!

Last week we sent you the email and ask your feedback if you wish to have the Quran verses published on your FB walls. We appreciate your replies and thank you for writing back.

We haven't yet place a team to work on it as we'll be quite hold up with the Maulid season. So hang on tight and wait for more news soon about this.

Habib Syech will be in Town in FEB 2013.

And for those who tunes into Warna - 94.2 FM every morning to listen to Kuliah Subuh, there is the Ya Hanana tunes by Habib Syech. Know that insyallah Habib Syech will be in Singapore in FEB. Exact day and time is yet to be known. Insyallah more details will be revealed soon.

Recently we have acquired "Islamicevents.my" domain as part of our commitment to begin stepping out of Singapore's shores and insyallah we hope to launch this portal by June 2013 as part of our expansion plans.

We are targetting to raise $50,000 this year to jump-start our expansion towards providing the IslamicEvents platform for neighbouring Muslim communities. May Allah ease our way with every contribution.

The much awaited event info is finally out but we still have one more Asatizah to be confirmed. So here's the line for this round of Majlis Selawat.

This time round the event is also co-organised with LBKM in conjuction with the launch of a new Scholarship for Madrasah Students pursuing further studies. The Majlis Selawat committee have agreed that all proceeds of this event will be given to LBKM to raise money for this scholarship. May the funds raised be placed to good use to groom the future Asatizahs.

Join us on Sunday, 27th of January 2013 from 8am to 12.45pm.

Solat Hajat will commence around 8.45 am.

This event is free and all are welcome.

PS: We have news that this time round the event will not be just Talks and Qasidah, there will be a story teller in the scenes. In Malay they call it "Tok Selampit". Who will that be eh? You have to be there to see it for yourself. :)
