Women are creation of Allah s.w.t. who are very noble. Allah SWT. bestowed pregnancy onto women, accompanied by great privileges and rewards. This is known in Islamic teachings as the virtue of pregnancy and lactating women, which bears a large reward or reward as if it is lived according to the existing creed.
As the word of Allah SWT in QS. Al-Ahqaf verse 15:
Meaning: "We have commanded humans to do good to their parents, their mothers conceived them with difficulty, and gave birth to them with difficulty (too). Conceiving her until weaning her is thirty months."
In addition to the word of Allah, the Messenger of Allah s.a.w. also provides assurance regarding any risks that women suffer during pregnancy. Because it threatens death, it is considered a martyr.
Among the privileges obtained by a pregnant women:
Get a Bigger Prayer Reward
The prayer of a pregnant woman has a greater reward. The prayers of pregnant women take precedence over non-pregnant women.
Rasulullah s.a.w. states that two rakaats of prayer for pregnant women are better than 80 rakaats of prayer by non-pregnant women.
This priority is given to pregnant women because they are carrying a fetus in their stomach. The fetus that was conceived also prayed, heard the reading of the prayer, and joined the prostration while facing Allah s.w.t.
Martyred
A pregnant woman who dies during childbirth is called a martyr. Women who are pregnant or giving birth will feel unimaginable pain. Therefore, Allah s.w.t. promises martyrdom to pregnant women who die during childbirth.
Prophet Muhammad SAW. said: "Do you know who was martyred among my ummah?" He replied, there are only a few people who have been martyred among my Ummah. People who die fighting in the way of Allah (are) martyrs, people who die because of endemic (are) martyrs. People who drowned (are rewarded with) martyrdom. People who die of stomachache (are rewarded with) martyrdom. And a woman who dies of
childbirth, she will be pulled by her child to heaven by the umbilical cord." (HR. Ahmad)
Forgiveness of Sins
One of the privileges of pregnant women is that their sins are forgiven by Allah s.w.t. Forgiveness of sins is attained because of the sincerity of a woman during pregnancy to childbirth in bearing pain. They sincerely take care of the baby and provide education until he or she grows into a pious person.
